Tanya Lana and an acquaintance agreed there needed to be a place for the community to meet, enjoy visiting and creating. The new clay studio was the beginning of this forum to take place. After a few Thursdays, the group of volunteers came up with a name and "Mud Puppies" was born.
After many months of hands-on assistance, Tanya and Shirlyn have kept the creative juices flowing plus endless days of laughter. |
The group is a "Come as You Are" society. So far, mostly females are involved; however, we'd love to see some men show up and get muddy. We meet every Thursday morning from 10am to noon. Whether experienced or a beginner, it makes no difference. An encouraging helping hand is only a few steps away. |
"The proceeds of all sales goes towards the clay studio's
expenses and future projects."
Once we've finished a project, the items are then sold to local art galleries and/or retail shops. We also have special orders come through (click here for details). One of the sweet perks of being a Mud Puppy is we are always first to purchase what we, or fellow mudders, create. The proceeds of all sales goes towards the clay studio's expenses and future projects. Some of these projects are given to the community for beautification or simply joy. |
