Kids Classes Have Begun!

Chinese Junk Sail

Velella velella lives in warm and temperate waters in all the world's oceans. They live at the water/air interface, with the float above the water, and polyps hanging down about a centimetre below.

From Wind Sailor Jellyfish "Velella" (pictured), to sail boats, this class will give young artist and future nautical engineers the opportunity to make and test different kinds of wind harnesses:
Bat Wing Sails, Chinese Junk Sails, Gaft Rigs, Top Sails and more.

Participants will build their own sails and then test race them in a small pond with a fan for wind power.
