This class will introduce basic knitting techniques used to knit ”top-down socks” that fit. A sock is made from six different components, ribbed cuff, a stockinette leg, a heel, a gusset, and toe. Mastering these six components provides a foundation for more advanced projects. Techniques will include long tail caston, increase stitch, decrease stitch, short rows and kitchener stitch.
What You Should Bring:
- One wound skein of light-color “sock yarn” 400 yards, 100 grams
- 2 each circular, 16’’ cords (Size US 0, 1, or 2 (2.0, 2.5, or 3.0 mm)
- Stitch markers
- Darning Needle
