Tie yourself up in fun with wire wrapping. This is a novice-friendly course in how to convert your intriguing beach finds into beautiful jewelry or key fobs. Participants will create two wire wrapped pendants during the workshop made from stones found here on our local beaches. The workshop begins promptly with a hands-on introduction to wire gauges and metal types or how to choose the right wire for your project.
Wendy Ryan spent her early childhood near the beach and tide pools in Scotland. Her fascination with the ocean led her to a fulfilling career as a professor of biology and marine science. Now that she's relocated to coastal Washington, Wendy has grown her beachcombing excursions from collecting rocks to polishing and wiring those stones and sea glass. A lifelong educator, Wendy enjoys opportunities to share her passions and knowledge with others who share her appreciation of the natural beauty that surrounds us.
