Length of Session 2: 2 hrs

Max Students/Class: 8

Dates: Tue, March 3

Time: 1pm - 4pm

Dates: Tue, March 10

Time: 1pm - 3pm

Materials: $10 due in person at first class. This includes all materials you'll need.

Come learn an ancient art that's both beautiful and practical. This class will provide all the information you need to start making your own pine needle baskets from scratch. It will cover everything from how to source materials to how to plan and make your intended form and will include some hints about how you can continue to develop your skill beyond what you practice in the class.

We'll be meeting for two sessions:

The 1st Session targets most of the instruction and beginning your on baskets. You'll be taking your in-progress basket home to try out the techniques you learned and bring them back for the second session.

The 2nd Session will focus on answering questions that came up as you worked through your basket and finishing techniques.

Diane is a skilled and recognized artist of pine needle baskets who taught the Grays Harbor College's current pine needle basket instructor. She has a depth of understanding to provide recommendations and perspective to start you on your path or help you refine your technique and the openness and drive to help others grow.

Space is limited — reserve your spot today and weave a little nature into your art!
